"Shes a rock star now!" will have to tell her kids. please keep defending her motives .
Sure, I'll defend Wilson's motives just as long as you defend a President who has disrespected multiple gold star families.
Democratic Florida Rep. Frederica Wilson is laughing and bragging after White House chief of staff John Kelly said he was “stunned” Thursday that Wilson criticized President Donald Trump’s call to the widow of a dead soldier. “You mean to tell me that I’ve become so important…that the White House is following me and my words? This is amazing. That’s amazing. That is absolutely phenomenal. I’ll have to tell my kids that I’m a rock star now,” Wilson told Miami Fox affiliate WSVN-TV, while laughing. http://wsvn.com/news/local/congresswoman-reacts-to-white-house-statement-on-call-to-armys-family/ She planned this the whole time. Despicable.
Dp. Thanks for posting this. In my mind, I heard “my son” perhaps due to the context of the entire situation. Thank you for clarifying this for me.
You did hear her say "my son" this morning. If she was that close to this family, she would get her face off the TV. She complains they're tired of the cameras. GTFO with that. She got them into this and she's gleefully proclaiming to be a rock star as a fabulous benefit she got out of it.
She can’t help but make it about her.
Did you say that about Patricia Smith?
Not the PP, but Patricia Smith is and was a grieving mother. Can you not see the difference between an anguished mother who lost her child and a Comgresswoman who looks to score political points wherever she can, no matter how inappropriate?
I see no difference when a decades old family friend speaks on behalf of a grieving mother who lost her child, at her request. Disparaging this gold-star family’s representative just because she is in Congress is the same as spitting directly into the face of the family. Happy National Character Counts Week
The grieving spouse asked the Congresswoman to go on national television and announce that Trump mocked her in the phone call - and intentionally taunted her in her saddest moments? Because that it was Wilson did.
