the murder isnt about the attractiveness or even the affair. Brendon wanted his wife dead, not because he loved Julianna. He simply used a dim witted woman to have a backup for his plan, a scape goat. He is a man that had many affairs and clearly was not capable of actual "love" at all. He is a sociopath who wanted to do a planned thrill kill. It has nothing to do with the au pair or his feelings or attraction to her. [/quote]

It was never about Juliana. Also, I do believe he had her shoot Joe so she could be charged w murder and that way, he’d also get rid of her.

He would be the hero that shot Joe ONCE to save his wife. She would be the one that shot the second time, the bullet that killed Joe. He’s the hero, CB is the cheater and Juliana, the killer. [/quote]
