Maybe people don't expect the average idiot with a gun to respect human life but they naturally expect supposedly trained professionals assigned to serve and protect to be less trigger happy.[/quote] With very few exceptions most of these cops have not been trigger happy. They are reacting to someone with a weapon who is not complying with their orders. My expectations is that are trained professionals assigned to serve and protect do just that which includes making sure someone misusing, illegally owning or brandishing a weapon is not a danger to the public.
