Did you even watch it? Jon isn't provoking her. He's more then complimentary toawrds her. He talks about it and the miscarriage in others because he isn't ashamed.  He says being open about it is how they've worked on the relationship. James talks about Jon being abusive all the time but they're still friendly. They're not bashing him and he doesn't bash them when dismissing their political views.
