There are a ton of FCPS vacancies currently. Any idea how many they will fill over the summer? Do they aggressively try to fill them? What happens if they don't?
Still a lot of vacancies up.....
So many IA's and SPED teacher positions not filled.
Why isn't Gatehouse sending people to fill some of the more critical roles? Oh right, probably because they just sit there and cross their arms and do nothing. Bunch of losers, they are.
I wonder how some schools SPED departments are even functioning? These truly are critical positions-they are probably taking advantage of the IA's they have....who will then up and leave next year. It's a bad cycle.
+1
FCPS doesn't care otherwise they would get rid of some of their overhead positions and use the funding for sped, but they are perfectly happy in their gatehouse offices just sitting on their butts. I'm beginning to wonder what is the primary function of FCPS, it doesn't seem to be education and their primary focus should be students first and teachers a very close second but I fear that is not the case.
YUP
+1. It's a jobs program for education degrees and other white collar positions (and by that I don't mean hard working teachers). I don't know how you would even begin to go about dismantling the insane bureaucracy, but it sure would help. So many fluffy positions at Gatehouse and even in schools (the teachers whose jobs it is not to teach but to tell all the other teachers how to teach, for example).
Most of the people in these positions are teachers that were over being in the classroom. If you made these employees go back half of them would quit.
