Sounds like the families are the ones who want to politicize this.
You and the rest of the leftist peanut gallery should definitely keep attacking Gold Star families.
I’m one of who accused them of politicizing it and we’re a military family. Here’s the thing, serving in the military or having a family member who serves doesn’t make you an infallible god. So I can - brace yourself- support and appreciate their sacrifice AND recognize that many of them are sadly not immune from the polarization and tribalism of American politics today. Military members are supposed to show leadership, integrity, and professionalism by NOT being political. Families aren’t held to this standard but a former president SHOULD have the integrity to stop it from happening - the self awareness to not let himself be used. But Trump wanted exactly that. Families who are inserting themselves in this for attention are stepping on it. The only family that has a place to speak out is the family that didn’t give permission for their son’s grave to be a part of this grotesque display.
You are disgusting! You need to sit down and listen to the 8 families speak to Kamala Harris. This is about THEM, not you or your politics.
DP. You are the one that is completed brainwashed by your cult leader. 63 soldiers died under Trump's administration. He has NEVER gone to visit their graves. He has never given condolences to their families. He has never met with them. Why? Trump is the one who negotiated the withdrawal from Afghanistan without consulting with the Afghan government, made promises to the Taliban, forced the Afghan government to release hostages before any concessions were made from the Taliban. He is the one who reduced the US military presence in Afghanistan from 13,000 soldiers to 2500 WITHOUT ANY PLAN FOR WITHDRAWAL. Trump had nearly a year (11 months) after his negotiations to start making withdrawal plans but made virtually no plans. Biden had 6 months from when he was elected, 4 months from when he was inaugurated to then craft plans and implement them. He extended this 3 months by moving the withdrawal date back 3 months. Trump deliberately set Biden up to fail. And during the 11 month period, more than 13 soldiers died under his watch while he did NOTHING. Then there have been 2 other anniversaries of the deaths of the Abbey Gate families. If they mattered to much to him, why has he not visited them once in the last 3 years? He only chooses to visit them in an election year when he is mere weeks away from an election. It is so blatantly specifically a campaign stop and a political advertisement. He has never made any official visits to ANC to visit the graves of any of the soldiers whose death he commanded. He calls them losers and suckers and he says that their service is less important and less worthy of acknowledgement than people who make political donations to him. So clearly, it isn't any concern for the soldiers or their families for the sacrifices of those under his command. He's never cared for the soldiers that were under his command for four years. So, if the deaths of soldiers is so important, why is he more concerned with the deaths of soldiers that died under Biden due to Trump's lack of planning for 11 months? Why is he more concerned with 13 solders who died under Biden's command than he is for the 63 that died under his command? Additionally, the Gold Star families invited Trump to the gravesite, but did not invite either Biden or Harris to the gravesite, so this was a personal visit at their request. But, if he was honoring the soldiers, why did he need to take photos and videos of his visit and publicize them on his official TeamTrump X account if it wasn't just a political advertisement? The agreement was that any photos or videos taken would be for momentos of the Gold Star families, so the photos and videos were not supposed to be for his political campaign but he used it for that anyways. And using them for a political campaign is expressly against the rules of the cemetary as was made very clear to them multiple times before the visit. In fact, it was highlighted when ANC first refused the permit Trump and the campaign to visit, then when he got Speaker Johnson involved, the visit was approved, but the photographs and videos were once again noted that the could not be used for political campaigning. And it was reiterated once again by the ANC staff member who was assaulted by the Trump staffers. So they were notified at least three times, twice in writing that they could not use any photographs or videos taken for political campaigning and yet, the videos showed up within hours of the visit on the official TeamTrump X account, which is specifically his campaign account.
