Also, the anti-breastfeeding zealot(s) ignores the studies showing reduced infection in breastfed infants for the first six months. In addition, the "use it or lose it" factor should play into policy statements. You can't exactly decide to breastfeed when your baby is six months old. Promoting breastfeeding in the first six months allows more parents to see if it works for them and their babies. [/quote]
