Yes things are more expensive. So we have adjusted. Two years ago gas was dirt cheap but there was no place to go. Now everyone wants to travel, so of course hotels, flights are more expensive. Gas prices are jumping because of demand and WAR. Supply and demand, like we were always taught.

I remain grateful every day we have a sane man like Biden in the White House. Trump would be melting down under all this pressure. He was utterly worthless. He passed a tax cut. That is it.

Nope. No private schools. We are now in a Dem state in the Midwest. All public schools.

My DH was laid off in 2016 and does consulting. I work 3/4 time and carry the family health insurance.  Kids work for their own spending money.

We drive old cars and economize. We don't bother keeping up with the Joneses. We shop at Aldi's, Costco, Salvation Army if needed.

We are not coddled like so much of the DCUM.
