I'm wondering if he's going to have a baby with Madison and something happens to her during the delivery and that's how he ends up being a single dad.
Do we know that Kevin was a single dad in the flash forward when everyone was gathering at the house on the hill for Rebecca? I can't remember the details from that episode.
I think it was kind of implied/assumed as there was no mention of a wife or mom, but I don't think the phrase single dad was said. This show is going to completely tease that along. It's entirely possible that Kate and Madison (assuming Madison is actually the mom) are out doing something or even in another part of the house and it just wasn't mentioned. Until we knew that baby Jack grew up and had a partner I think we could have all assumed that when Toby said, "They're on their way," he was talking about Jack and Kate. Still could, honestly.
Of course they will. Look at how they made us believe that Randall and Beth didn't make it last season.
Please help me remember the scene in flash forward where Rebecca is probably dying and it shoes Beth in a fancy dance studio. Wasn’t something said in that scene that implied she and Randall were no longer together or am I totally making this up?
Before we ever saw Rebecca in the flash forward, we had only seen Beth alone in a dance studio, and Tess and Randall going to see “her.” At the time Randall and Beth were not doing well and fighting over her commitment to dance. I think people assumed (because it was heavily implied), that the “her” was Beth and Randall was not with her. That’s probably what you’re thinking of.
I don't think the flash forward with Rebecca in the cabin was the same timeline as adult Jack/singing career/wife/baby. I think Tess is probably mid-20s, so about 12-13 years. Plus, Kevin's kid is about 11-12, right?
You're right - Rebecca in the cabin is close to present day (if that exists in this show) - it's the big three's 40th birthday. The Jack singing/Tess timeline is much later. In a way, those timelines don't make sense - at least not for baby Jack. He appears to be in his 20's at least, but if we are all guessing it's 11-12 years later at Rebecca's deathbed, he'd still be a kid. anyway, stupid Super Tuesday interrupting my viewing pleasure.
From what the producers have said, the Rebecca dying era is 12-15 years in the future, putting Baby Jack around 13-15 years old, and the timeline where Baby Jack is an adult with a career is another 12-15 years beyond THAT. We currently have three future timelines in play when you include the flash forward to their 40th birthday.
