"Shes a rock star now!" will have to tell her kids. please keep defending her motives .
Sure, I'll defend Wilson's motives just as long as you defend a President who has disrespected multiple gold star families.
Democratic Florida Rep. Frederica Wilson is laughing and bragging after White House chief of staff John Kelly said he was “stunned” Thursday that Wilson criticized President Donald Trump’s call to the widow of a dead soldier. “You mean to tell me that I’ve become so important…that the White House is following me and my words? This is amazing. That’s amazing. That is absolutely phenomenal. I’ll have to tell my kids that I’m a rock star now,” Wilson told Miami Fox affiliate WSVN-TV, while laughing. http://wsvn.com/news/local/congresswoman-reacts-to-white-house-statement-on-call-to-armys-family/ She planned this the whole time. Despicable.
Dp. Thanks for posting this. In my mind, I heard “my son” perhaps due to the context of the entire situation. Thank you for clarifying this for me.
You did hear her say "my son" this morning. If she was that close to this family, she would get her face off the TV. She complains they're tired of the cameras. GTFO with that. She got them into this and she's gleefully proclaiming to be a rock star as a fabulous benefit she got out of it.
I can only imagine how incredibly jealous Maxine Waters is right now. She's wishing something fortuitous like this would happen in her district so she could have the opportunity to do what Frederica Wilson has done.
You might as well come out and say it: "those uppity black women." 'Cause that's what you're thinking.
If these two specific women didn't come on the air and act like buffoons, I wouldn't know how ridiculous they are. If a white person comes on and acts and dresses like an idiot, I'll think the same of them. They're willing to make fools of themselves in order to show people that Trump is a fool (which he is) and it's working.
There are plenty of white people who come on the air and "act like buffoons" and they're not all black or women or Democrats. I find it telling that you picked another senior black woman to take down in your snarkiness. Black women who have done a ton more for their communities than Trump will ever do for anyone but his community of the 1%. You go ahead and make your snide comments about a woman who has consistently over decades done good things for people who have very little. She'll continue to do her good and positively touch the lives of people who no one else cares about. In fact, i think I'll go make a donation to her organization. Here's a link to anyone interested in donating to this worthy cause, which the late Sgt La David Johnson was a part of: http://5000rolemodels.dadeschools.net/ http://thewestsidegazette.com/rep-frederica-wilsons-5000-role-models-project-focuses-on-young-black-males/
And I do call them out on it. Just not in this thread because it doesn't pertain. These two women have venom seething from their mouths when they talk about Trump and are in a race to see who can call for his impeachment more times (always tied to an obviously unimpeachable offense, which makes them sound like they know less about the Constitution and the law than Trump himself). Btw, Wilson relishes the comparison so you don't need to defend her honor or claim that it's offensive to compare them.
