Texas is very Christian and believes the re-establishment of Jewish sovereignty in the Holy Land is a prerequisite for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. This is the reason evangelical christian support of Israel and though declining in number they make up make up about 14% of the vote down from 24%  a few years ago. They are concentrated in the southern red states. The under 35 EC crowd support for Israel has crashes even in this group. The decline of EC and the lack of support below 35 has Israel concerned.

The “Jews” make up 2% of the population with the largest percentage in New York 9%, New Jersey 6% and Maryland 3%. Safe democratic states even if every person of Jewish identity vote republican in would not make an impact in these states. [/quote]
