Biden has screwed up in this war and made it go on much longer. This piecemeal approach allows the Russian to learn from their mistake and adapt to the weapon systems. It’s seems like Biden wants a stalemate. This is the worst situation. As soon as the republicans get in power and get their sh#$ together they will withdraw all support. All the Europeans all follow. Putin will see this as weakness and move on to the next objective.
This! Ukraine gets just enough to make a splashy PR move while Russia gets to figure out another NATO weapon system. Rinse and repeat. We're basically training Russia how to fight NATO.
Ridiculous. NATO hasn't engaged. And the only Russian commanders who had any opportunity to learn anything are mostly already dead.
actually what Ukrainians are saying is that all the dumb Russian soldiers are mostly dead; the only survivors were the smart ones, and they are the ones fighting today.
There was a paper on the adaptation of two forces fighting. One force was highly technical with state of the art equipment and weapons. The other force with limited knowledge and obsolete equipment. So think Vietnam, Afghanistan, British against Zulus, etc. The authors of the paper showed an adaptation curve for the lesser force that was pretty consistent. Over a certain time and number of engagements the lesser force adapted fighting styles and the advantages enjoyed by one side were less and less effective. It is similar to resistance to antibacterials. They recommend go full in with all your advantages to win before the other side can adapt not a slowly raising the temperature.
