But the state stopped issuing permits for tank replacements so 500 gas stations closed in CA at the beginning of this year. CA has has a 60% reduction in gas refineries over the past three decades because environmental regulation. The true reason is to PUSH people into EVs. So when gas goes to $10 in CA, don't ask other states for more gas.
