So the verdict is out… now what do folks have to talk about? And what fight will FVU pick on Next.
if the verdict is out those rosters look slim. My $$ is on a pda like suspension w the girls leaving but not being rostered. Simply removes bsc from playoffs w/o removing the club completely and making it so less folk can go. Rosters still look slim.
. Only 2 teams make playoffs this year. Doesn’t really matter.
in North Atlantic as well? I know mid got screwed but NA as well??
yep. We have 10 teams. The winner of leagues cup goes to the North American Cup.
Where do you find this info? Only saw ECNL announce the winner of League Cup qualifies for playoffs but didn't specify which tier.
our ECNL director told us a few weeks ago in a meeting.
This seems like a really stupid thing for ECNL to do - to go from 3 or 4 teams making playoffs to 2! I know that they’re having to deal with the World Cup, but players in the recruiting years this year (2010s) have to be pissed. And ECNL is battling with GA for dominance. Stupid move on ECNL‘s part that will have lingering effects.
The total number of teams going to Seattle will actually go up - Just not in the "Playoff" - there will be more teams overall as they expand. There is Playoffs combined (no Richmond finals) but fewer teams for that and the champion crowned in Seattle. Then North America Cup and restructured showcase A and B - they changed the names and expanded. So overall more teams going to Seattle. For Mid-Atlantic it will end up being 7 or 8 teams qualifying for some sort of "playoffs". MA is guaranteed 2 for Playoffs with potentially a 3rd spot shared with another conference. So for recruiting purposes, last year at the correct ages games were heavily attended by coaches regardless of if it was a "Playoff", "Cup" or "Showcase". The bigger issue is the delay to July - as college coaches will be starting pre-season.
