We are in D1 and the decisions seem to be made by the match ups against the Saturday opponent.  It’s not all ladder.

At the end of the day you are trying to win the meet.  The coach is trying to score the points and reduce points received for the other team.  It’s not always going to be the three fastest in each event from your team.  That wouldn’t make sense in a close, competitive meet.[/quote]
Exactly. This is how it’s supposed to work. 
But the PP implied someone other than the coach is making these decisions. Who is that? I’m a team rep for a D1-3 team and it’s definitely the coaching staff seeding the meet to win. The reps just check for errors but have zero say in who swims what or if at all (as it should be). [/quote]
