Only one in my group at HQ here today including mgmt. I think everyone celebrated 4 weeks by taking today off. I’m unclear how people are burning so much leave though. I get a ton but I’d be out of it by year end if I used 1-2 days per week every week. Are people just like I’ll deal with it then? I’ll quit then? FWIW the people in my group who consistently take amazing vacations just aren’t this year. Or maybe it’s 1 amazing vacation instead of the 3 they typically take. Job uncertainty esp for those whose spouse is also a Fed or Fed adjacent. So I think that frees up like 5-10 days per trip so that’s 5-10 wks where they can take a day off weekly.[/quote]

I also think people are doing what they have to right now to make this work. If they can only make it work using a ton of leave and they start running low, maybe they try to go part time or start looking for another job. I carried over max. Have a time off award and a small bank of credit hours. Plus I have a ton of sick leave. Maybe over time I can figure out how to use less leave. For now I have been stuck with middle of the day appointments I can’t reschedule — but will schedule the next one at a better time.
