And to take it further and if your focus is on the US only...If you want to make any of the USYNTs then, right now with the current youth structure, you have to be in an MLS academy or playing in Europe. If you're in a pay to play club there is literally no chance you will make it. USSF will just tell you to go to a MLS academy if you're at the national team level and at a pay to play club. And of course the better academies have more representation on the USYNTs. So, when the rosters, the actual rosters for the national team camps or games, not regional camps, come out, keep a look out for whether you see DCU players. For the last u15, u17, and u20 call up there were none. Two players made the u19 team from DCU and one of them was never in the academy. For an area that has for many years been one of the strongest areas for football talent in the country, that is truly a shame. Since the funnel of the talent to the national team in our area is through DCU, they have a lot to do with this state of play.
No Red Bulls made the U15's either. Mediocre organization apparently
https://www.ussoccer.com/teams/u-15-mens-national-team Was this sarcasm?
Oh, I see. that was last year. But still . . . .5 players last year is more than DC in all years combined. Here's this years U15 list. https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/2024/10/us-under-15-mens-youth-national-team-roster-kicks-off-new-cycle-in-south-florida
Don't see any NY Red Bulls on the U15's list How can a vastly superior organization not have a player on the U15's? No such thing as no Barcelona or Real Madrid or PSG or Marseille on Spain and France lists
Not true. Period. Here is just one example: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/France_national_under-16_football_team But of course higher chance you make the team if you're in those known top academies to the point YOU are actually making. Just like higher chance you make the team if you're in RBNY academy than if you're at DCU.
No NYRB U15's are on the USYNT link What part is not true? Saying "higher chance" is just someone saying higher chance. Politics and talent in that order makes up National Team selections in every country. As for France, your selection into the Clairefontaine National Academy is more important than a club academy.
