They were around before just as SYA and CYA travel soccer, separately. Its all the same dudes running things. They figured out how to financially separate themselves from their community rec leagues in order to pay themselves a lot more money and run the program like a business without having to answer to anyone & while still keeping access to the rec leagues' most valuable assets--their county field allotments and player pools. Pretty clever honestly.

Its a business and they run it to make money. Its the American way.
