The sad thing is that Paul was basically trying to be gentlemanly about the "not nurturing" remarks while quietly standing behind his perception. Vanessa either didn't like his take or just wanted him to spit it out unambiguously. I think he handled himself well. Vanessa did seem to like Jackie in a way the others did not. Who knows what that's about! She might just be the kind of person who feels she needs to defend the women no matter what. Nick is useless and should be dumped from this gig imo.[/quote]

Yeah, he sure made the right decision.

She never seemed cerebral enough for him in my opinion.

I think the original appeal was that a geeky guy like him never gets a girl like her. So at first he was intoxicated by the pairing.

+1 Sorry  it hurt her feelings but between the way she acted towards practically everyone on the show, the way her friends acted and how she always put him down - she showed who she was and I don't blame him a second. He shouldn’t have used the word nurturing as that has all sorts of connotations for women in terms of being a good mother. She just honestly wasn’t someone who would be a good role model for any child, male or female. And did you see how he makes decisions? Yeah, he needs someone more cerebral. Not sure which is more offensive, nurturing or not being smart, lol. [/quote]
