Three things are clear: 1. There will be further appeals, whether to the Fourth Circuit en banc or to the Supreme Court. 2. The Class of 2026, like its predecessor, will not be held in the same high regard as prior TJ classes, and the overall reputation of the school will take a hit. 3. As FCPS continues to devote outsized attention to the composition of the student body at a single high school, the rest of the system will also continue to decline.
Your #2 is not a negative. Having a good magnet school is good, having the best school in the country isn't great for those students or for the students at the other local high schools. Change is good. (Maybe the notoriously awful math teachers at TJ could improve, too.)
Improve how?
