I saw this “Hot” topic discussed yesterday by Remy Ma + Fat Joe on The Wendy Williams show where both are guest hosting. It cracks me up how Fat Joe does not conceal his disgust at how “Skete” is handling things. I have to agree. Kanye has mental issues and admittedly crossed the line w/both Pete and Kim. But it was a cheap shot for Pete to tell Kanye that he was in bed w/his wife. By staying silent these past few mos, he was making Ye appear as a raving idiot. Now however he is just adding pure fuel to the flames and is feeding into Kanye’s whims. He should keep his mouth shut because when the kids grow up & hear about how Pete called their Father an “Internet b-word” they will lash out at Pete.
Kanye asked Pete where he was — and Pete told him. Are you at least as worried about “when the kids grow up & hear about…” all of the very nasty and very private things that their own father has put out there? It’s interesting that you, and so many others are faulting Pete for “provoking the bear” when no one — but Kim — has protected Pete from the very harmful actions of that bear, or even made genuine suggestions about containing that bear or getting that bear some help. If nothing else, having some genuine response to all that Kanye himself has initiated might seep in IF Kanye can get to a point where he’s able to work more effectively on his own considerable mental health issues. FWIW, when Kanye was nastily teasing Pete about Pete’s own mental health issues, I think Pete’s response was incredibly kind and genuinely helpful, and might even be pivotal for Kanye—if he can get to a point where he’s able to hear it. I guess one silver lining is that people are more openly discussing mental health issues and issues related to domestic violence and emotional manipulation. It would be great if this could lead to building accessible systems of intervention.
The mature thing for all of them (and I am surprised that the lawyers and handlers haven't pushed for this) is to remain silent when Kanye pokes the bear. Pete shouldn't respond. He isn't anyone to this family or kids yet. Kim shouldn't respond publicly as she is going through legal proceedings. If Kanye wants to showcase his issues publicly, let him, but I would not be responding. Get off the damn twitter.
