Again, the ripple affect is really 6 players that FCV risks losing for the addition of three players.

Three kids are now bubble starters. Will they be happy with that change? These are kids, who were starters at FCV, the greatest DA in all the land, surely they can start and play full games somewhere else.

So what happens in this new market is FCV may have strengthened their starting lineup a little bit but if the 3 bubble starting kids leave then there is a significant drop off in sub talent.

If the three new kids come in expecting to be starters and split time with the bubble starters, assuming they stay then 6 kids are now unhappy. When there was only McLean to fight with over players you could add kids in and keep all of the best. That isn't the case anymore. [/quote]

Do those current players know who they are? Maybe it depends on what positions the VDA players play but it is possible they are unaware this is in the future. The bench players will find out when they don't get offers to return but the starters will be invited back not knowing about playing time. [/quote]

Of course the current players will have no idea that their roles will change but here is way you can tell that your spot is vulnerable. Regardless of starting, if you are only playing about half a game consistently you are vulnerable. If your DD is not playing at least 75% of the games they are fighting for their spot week in and week out. Any new player coming in is coming in for your spot, not the bench players spot.  [/quote]
