Because they are brainwashed idiots. And they want to believe the worst of a young, misguided college student who comes from a  "privileged" background. They hate what they perceive as privilege and entitlement[/quote]

I don't have to believe the worst of him to think he played with fire and got badly burned, nor do I think he was merely "misguided."  And I do think his privilege and entitlement led him to believe that he could travel to North Korea without any consequences.  My own sons are from a privileged background and if they chose to do something as stupid as travel to North Korea, I'd obviously be devastated if something terrible happened to them, but the consequences would be on them not on the president.

No one has said the consequences are on Obama. Please show me where Obama has been blamed for what happened to Otto. People are upset that Obama made no efforts to bring him back home after the show trial and even told the parents to keep a low profile. Obama was into appeasement, apparently. BTW, the parents followed Obama's directives to a T. Of course they were relieved when a new administration came into power that wanted to help them. Wouldn't you be?[/quote]
