How would they know! They don’t know Israel and how it’s multicultural with Christians and Muslims living peacefully 100% free as equals! It’s all fake news! Nobody knows what apartheid and Jim Crow is - that was fake too!
lol Israel is a Jews state. Non Jews do not have rights.
This is wrong. 20 percent of Israel is Muslim Arab. They have their own parties. They are represented in parliament. Israeli Arabs and Bedouins are doing just fine in Israel.
They are. Because they live peacefully there, and are not focused on trying to obliterate their country. Instead, they benefit from the only first world country in the region, from a free press, functional and non-corrupt gov't services, and democracy. What a concept.
It takes incredible callousness and cognitive dissonance to make this statement. How insulting to speak of "democracy" when 3/4 of Palestinians were ethnically cleansed (either exterminated or expelled) during the Nakba, when their homes and land were stolen. The remainder are such a minority that they do not threaten majority rule. If the Palestinian Israeli minority grows exponentially, Israel would certainly find a way to prevent them from becoming a majority. Israel's racist "nation-state law" states that self-determination in both Israel and the occupied territories is "unique to the Jewish people." Palestinian Israeli numbers are limited by the "right of return" law that applies only to Jews; not even Palestinians expelled from their homes during the Nakba and never compensated (in violation of UN Resolution 194) can return and claim Israeli citizenship. Also, Palestinians in the WB or Gaza who marry Palestinian Israelis cannot gain residency or citizenship in Israel, so their spouses have to leave. Israel has racist and discriminatory land laws that prevent most of the land being leased or sold to Palestinians and keeps it for the use of Jewish Israelis. As for "free press," you must be aware that Aljazeera is banned in both Israel and the WB, and the IDF kills journalists with almost complete immunity. Palestinian Israelis can be arrested and detained because of their social media posts, although the law does not define what constitutes "unacceptable" free speech, which means that free expression is criminalized. The legal system is grossly unfair to Palestinian Israelis. A racist law was recently passed that allows Palestinian Israelis to be given double the sentence of Jewish Israelis for sexual crimes if the motive is deemed "nationalistic." Ironically, the "nationalistic" rape of Palestinian detainees by the IDF in Israeli prisons is widely defended and even cheered on. Deciding who is held in "administrative detention" is left to the primarily Jewish authorities. Denial of habeas corpus is hardly emblematic of democracy. Israel is a racist and fascist militaristic state that privileges Jews over everyone else. That is the nature of the beast. It is extraordinarily insensitive to suggest that Palestinian Israelis, who experience systematic and legal discrimination, should be grateful for their marginalized status.
Terror is their only way to a peaceful existence in a democracy, and the predictable consequences of their terror redound only on Israel. Have I got that right? Why do I not find that persuasive?
Israel's version of peaceful coexistence is "I get to do what I want, take what I want, kill who I want. You get to shut up, and if you don't, you're a terrorist antisemite."
This response should literally be stickied on every page of this and similar threads to remind everyone over and over again what the world sees when it confronts what Israel truly is …
Just the m-m-moralest! "He informed his team they should only kill with a machine gun and stop running people over because he was tired of cleaning hands and feet off his tank tracks. After a relatively short time he reached 30 kills and decided he doesn't have the energy to keep counting." [twitter]https://x.com/ytirawi/status/1866801511424229747[/twitter]
This is absolutely nauseating! It is so terribly sad that people can dehumanize others in this way. It's a sad part of Israeli education with its racist, ethno-supremacist teachings.
Kinda like US higher education today? Dehumanize Jews with racist, ethno-supremacist teachings? That's how we end up with SJP leaders like the ones at GMU.
How racist do you have to be to equate protesting genocide with complaining about the inconvenience of washing Palestinian hands and feet off the tires of your tanK? Can you understand how privileging one group while dehumanizing the other is causing this genocide?
"Protesting genocide" with multiple weapons, ammunition, Hamas/Hezbollah flags, and "Death to Jews" and "Death to America" posters? We evidently have different ideas of what "protesting" means. And, FWIW, you missed the point entirely. Suggest focusing on the education piece if you care to try again.
Where have American college protestors ever held up "Death to Jews" posters? Meanwhile, we have community leaders and ministers who advocate exterminating Palestinians. Even Ben-Gvir said he thought it would be a good idea to execute Palestinians in Israeli jails to free up space. Disgusting! Stop trying to play the race card, and try not to be such a hypocrite!
You need to do your homework. Read the WaPo article on GMU.
99.9% of the student protestors oppose genocide and Zionist racism, not Jews. In fact, many of the protestors ARE Jewish. However, you must be absolutely horrified about the conduct of Israeli football hooligans in Amsterdam, no? Hundreds of them were openly shouting, "Death to Arabs!", and they bragged that there are no schools in Gaza because "there are no children in Gaza." Please tell me you're not one of those hypocrites who doesn't think students in the U.S. should be allowed to protest genocide, but who describes reactions to the Maccabi football hooligans as an antisemitic pogrom.
These douchebags don’t actually address the disgusting behavior of their own. Not once have they done so. They’re just here to accuse others of anti-semitism, boast of their invincibility, and accuse those who cast that inconvenient light on the truth of being Hamas or Russian trolls. In the immortal words of Denny Green, they are who we thought they were.
Accusations of "anti-semitism" and being "pro-Hamas" are past their expiration date and don't hold water in any case. They're going to need to find a better excuse for genociding Palestinians. Oh, wait, they don't have one.
They don't need one. Nobody will stop them and in 20 years nobody will care or even remember. Call them all the names you want. They seem to have run out of fuggs to give about your opinion of them. FAFO
