It gets worse. Israel and the US keep escalating. With Trump's approval, Israel hit the South Pars gas field, which is the world's largest. In response, Iran has told civilians working in Gulf State gas and oil infrastructure to evacuate. No doubt they will hit Gulf energy infrastructure in retaliation.

Israel clearly wants to see the entire Gulf region in flames. Why the US is following Israel into this madness remains mystifying. The consequences for the entire global economy are dire. There is no American victory anywhere. It's in no one's interest to see Iran and the Gulf countries in ruin and the planet suffer through the worst energy crisis in history. In a rational country with a system that works, Trump would have been impeached yesterday for creating this catastrophe. But our Congress meekly follows along. Pathetic and dangerous.[/quote]
