It's only the "world" in the US. Other civilized countries don't have this issue.

I've told my kids who have dual citizenship with a European country to seriously think about moving there if they have kids.  The US is a horrible place to raise children.

My friend moved to Portugal with her family, including little kids.  They never ever worry about school shootings, or shootings anywhere.[/quote]

That is one of the pleasures of traveling to many areas outside of the United States.   You can relax about gun crime.   Many places, the huge concern is things like pickpocketing.  It's really nice.[/quote]
