Surprised more people aren't discussing the WaPo article. Sounds like the dads are colossal bullies and totally misrepresenting what happened: https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2025/07/10/nysmith-school-antisemitism-lawsuit/
For those of us who canceled our WaPo subscriptions in light of Bezos’ censorship perhaps someone could use a gift link or summarize what was said? What did the parents do that makes them colossal bullies? What suggests they are misrepresenting what happened?
I did not get that except for Nysmith's denial. Here is a clip: Nysmith, a 40-year educator whose family owns the school, said the conflict began with two girls in the same sixth-grade class. “They’re Jewish, obviously. The other family has roots in Gaza,” he said. Fourteen different teachers supervised the sixth-graders during the school day, he said, and none was able to substantiate the “unkind comments” Roy and Vazquez attributed to the other girl. “We ended up talking with the other child’s parents. They were appalled. They didn’t know what to make of these allegations,” Nysmith said. Lang said “multiple students in one sixth-grade class … led a campaign of bullying and ostracization of our client’s daughter.” “It was not a conflict between two students, and Mr. Nysmith, I’m sure, knows that,” he said. There was also an accusation that it was a group of kids bullying the girl. These kids are too young to have all this political confrontation going on.
