So it sounds like they were just jealous that someone else created a product that was a valuable commodity. Also if this was necessary, why couldn't it wait until the end of the season... AFTER TRYOUTS!!!! They did undeniable harm to the club that will take some time to undo. They seriously hurt recruitment at a time that the club was doing well and turned GFR into a laughing stock and allowed the vultures from neighboring clubs to constantly post on here trying to pick the bones of our carcass. All for what? They were upset at someone else's negotiated and approved salary (which btw, includes an ENTIRE staff of coaches, not just 2 guys). [/quote]

So you think it's right for the ED to make deals and "unions" with other clubs and pay ridiculous amounts of money, and get kick-back from that as well because why not? 
You're supposed to be the head of a non-profit organisation, not find ways to steal people's money for your benefit.

You are talking about rumors, nothing that has ever been proven.  If you don't see how hard RS works for the community and are just making these statements based on what you've heard, you should be ashamed of yourself.  If you have proof, please share.  As a non profit, everything they should be available to the public so go ahead and share this information and your source for it. [/quote]

nobody is telling anyone what's going on, they are making accusations but no details or further information is provided.  why would this 1 board member have more information than the rest of the board who have been around for years and if he did why didn't he discuss it with them?  all board meeting minutes are public, is there record of him presenting his "findings" that he is alleging? This is where transparency comes in. Board minutes should be public and we should be pressing them to publish them. And it’s obviously not just one guy on the board making these claims!  There have been multiple instances of multiple board members coming forward saying the exact same thing. And if you think this entire situation is only a board problem, it’s certainly not. This could only happen with the knowledge and support of admin, coaches, and parents. I’m not supporting either side but it obvious that this is a club-wide problem and transparency is key in this matter.[/quote]

They have kids involved in the teams and don’t get paid unlike two other board members. This is a kids soccer club, that’s mind boggling to believe you’re more entitled to an opinion just because you’re paying for a kid in travel soccer. That’s incredibly out of touch. If you’re so concerned about your money, don’t worry it’s not going to those dads.[/quote]

Didn’t these Rec Bored Duds say at the coaches meeting that there was NO financial irregularities. They assured the coaches that this was not a financial fraudulent issue…. YET now Kind Dud Super Mario has to save face because he got his a$$ handed to him. So now he backpedals and implies there is financial issues without proof provided. Just conjecture to stir the pot and sink the club further than he already has. This damages the WHOLE club (Rec and Travel). Guy is trying to save his reputation even if it means burning down the place.[/quote]

I dont know man I wasn’t at the coaches meeting but if these guys have told you plenty of times after that it’s financial irregularities (via emails, zoom meetings, etc.) I don’t know why you’re holding on to one thing they said that one time. You’re dunking on a guy that resigned from the board and told you exactly why. The club has been surrounded by rumors for years. Just bc this all blew up now doesn’t mean it’s a new thing. [/quote]

Don’t play morale high ground on me. Low blow is Super Mario implying fraudulent shenanigans and never proving it. He’s the one that went out of his way to ruin the reputation of innocent people simply because he was jealous. And whether it was one time or not he said unequivocally that there was no financial irregularities. End of story.

He harmed our kids teams along the way and now we’re supposed to feel sorry for him as he still takes his parting cheap shots. [/quote]

And again the story is the one thing that was said that one time that was again taken back in the board meeting and resignation letter. No moral high ground here and no need to get all bothered.
