Given that they have oodles of money and celebrities don’t actually care about the climate crisis as much as they say they do, there isn’t any reason they couldn’t share custody one week on one week off and just fly the kids back and forth across the pond. As to school - lots of people homeschool and there isn’t any reason these girls couldn’t be homeschooled by tutors in order to accommodate living on two continents. What will be interesting to see is if their father actually cares about their emotional and social well being enough to support them having one home base - in the UK as he promised their mother - so they can have a normal life attending a real school and making friends and playing sports or instruments or whatever other extracurricular activities they are drawn to. Given the character he has displayed this far, I doubt very much he will ever put his kids best interests first ahead of his ego. And in that regard, he is much like the majority of fathers everywhere.
So only the father has to make sacrifices to ensure the children have a normal life?
If Joe wants to give them that in the US, then he can settle down in the city of his choice, create a stable support system around them with his family, and do it. There is literally nothing stopping him from saying "actually, we can create a stable life for them her in [NY or LA] and I'm looking into houses and schools and figuring it out. But he's not. Sophie has actually figured that out. She's actually taken steps to create a life for their kids and put thought into how to do it so that it's safe and stable for them. She's chosen Warwickshire over London specifically because she wants to give her kids a childhood like the one she had. Joe is mad about the fact that it's a life based in the UK, but why isn't he trying to create a similar life for them in the US? While in the US, the bounced from LA to Miami and now don't even have a home here where their kids have rooms of their own. What kind of life is that?
