Oh this is all so stupid. Who cares? HS doesn't mean jack in the long run re determining success. If you are good enough in any sport, you can go to any university you want. That is the plot. That is the advantage of being a high level athlete. It doesn't matter if it is SJC, Prep, Landon, STA, Episcopal, Bullis, Gonzaga on and on...it makes no difference to the college lacrosse coach...you know.. the guy that will offer your son a spot on his roster... So...my decision for my son was go where he has the opportunity to play early, where the schedule is toughest and where we can get the best grades/scores. He did that and now plays at a major D1 program that is a great school. A school he could have never gotten in w/o lacrosse. Plain and simple.
This is the post of the year and is exactly how it’s done.
+1. It is so stupid!
Agree. A college coach could care less which school you go to of the high level lacrosse schools in the area. They don't even really care which of the high level HS coaches you play for. The coaches lump them all together both from a lacrosse and academic perspective, according to my sons college coach and the other coaches who recruited him. If the grades are good enough and the are a style/system fit, the univeristy will take them no questions asked.
Agree as well. I’d add the recent topic distraction on this thread would have never happened had certain cromagnons here not allowed their groupthink views to proactively challenge SJC’s academic integrity. The school is the total package for student athletes looking for great academics, great sports, and the opportunity to attend some of the nation’s most competitive universities. The facts prove it.
