I think this youth sports industrial complex creates inequity. Been at it for years.  There are virtually ZERO low income families present in our particular sport.   I don't know why the college tolerate that they have a huge hand in creating this huge industry which actually does the opposite of leveling the playing field.[/quote]

What about all the kids from broken families where the single parent has to work two jobs and was always too tired to read books to their kids.  Where is their level playing field?  They have no chance against the DCUM kids whose parents throw money into tutors and SAT prep and private schools.  Should your kid not be admitted because the kid from the broken home didn’t have a fair chance?  Most people focus on who is ahead but you should take a pause and look around and be grateful.[/quote]
