When asked why their training schedule is so nutty, they shrug and say, Because they cannot really compete if they don't. I mean, my kid is on POMS -- I mean, freaking Poms, no disrespect -- and they train 12 hours a week. Twelve! Why? It's all or nothing. There is no 5-hours-per-week option.
