If someone is paranoid, they will blame whoever is "in charge" at the moment for their problems. My mom said my dad was doing all kinds of crazy things to her--none of them based on reality. When they divorced, that same angst went toward my sister. When she left the house, the angst was directed at me. She needed a scapegoat for her problems.

I don't know if this is what's happening here; none of us do. But these people saying "we'll stop protesting when Britney asks us to" may have some mental illness of their own if they really think they are in the best position to make this call.

Again, there are mental health experts who understand her condition better than any of us who are offering their expert advice to the courts. These people are also under intense scrutiny, so I don't think they are taking the responsibility lightly.

Isn't Amanda Bynes in a similar situation? Are people protesting for her? [/quote]
