The airplane sat on the runway in heat for hours burning through fuel, which caused a lethal environment that exploded when wires sparked.

They made changes to prevent this from happening again...as they do with most plane crashes.

It could’ve happened and just not resulted in a catastrophic crash. Not all plane incidents are resolved in a neat little bow.
