It’s the dress. When I was big enough to need maternity clothes but my belly had not popped yet into a classic pregnant shape, I did not fill out the middle part my maternity dresses that were fitted close at the knee. They were structured enough to look nice standing, but crumbled and showed my larger, but not rounded, stomach when I sat down at work. This is poor tailoring and fabric choice, not a fake belly.
