You should be careful about posting so much identifying information-coaches read these boards too!! There are not many PT 06 players to begin with and to say you came from Loudoun pretty much calls your player out. Just some helpful advice!! To those in the know-have the VDA players at the ID sessions agreed to make the switch to FCV? I would imagine they are the bench players at VDA or why would they want to leave? Promise of greater college exposure?
They are not 3 bench players from VDA. Yes, it would shake up the current 06 team, but iron sharpens iron. Need to trim the fat every now and then.
Just because they are starters for VDA does not mean they will be starters for FCV if they decide to switch teams. Not saying they are bad players and FCV would not love to have them. Just saying if they don't contribute positively to FCVs game they wont play.
If they are not starting at FCV they will not stay. If they are being told to come because of possible NTC invites then it is assumed that they will be starters. Where will they go?

They will go to the highest level league where they will play meaningful minutes because there are lots of places to go and play soccer. Talented kids will no longer be happy to just be here. If they have options to play soccer they will choose that. Spending 8k a year to watch games becomes less attractive when you can move down the street, get to play and get recruited to play in college. It is real hard to be seen by a college coach when you are riding the bench. DA posts the minutes played and any college coach can look up a player and quickly determine the player's value to the team. That fact can be hidden at ECNL where minutes are not recorded and sub rules are different. Playing 70-90 minutes at a DA says more about the players quality and worth than 20-30 minutes.
