This is not accurate.  It is much harder for DH and me to make ends meet than this article appears to state and we have NO room for college savings when our 3 little ones grow up.  And, daycare is NOT sufficient.  In order for us to make $370k/year in our legal jobs, we have a nanny EVERY day that picks up our little ones from daycare and we need to go out to eat a lot more often because we do not have time.  Our weekends are often at work so we need nannies then too.

Almost every day I understand why women quit their jobs to raise kids and we still are not equal -- D[b]H and I would save about $5/day if I were to quit[/b], even though our income would HALVE.  Think about it.[/quote]

You have full time nannies for weekdays AND weekends, and go out to eat "a lot" for $5/day?  Somehow this math seems off.[/quote]
