[/quote] NP - Lucy Calkins curriculum is famous for the decline in literacy (the podcast Sold a Story: How Teaching Kids to Read Went So Wrong). I would say it more like attending a Michelin star restaurant and needing to pay for add ons (tutoring) when you felt it should have already been included in the price of the meal.[/quote]
