Why is the interview with both of them? Why not separate interviews for each?
This is a guess on my part. Harris and Walz are campaigning together in Georgia starting tomorrow. CNN is headquartered in Atlanta, so it makes sense that the interview is with CNN while they’re in Georgia. Walz still does not have much name recognition. I can’t remember the numbers exactly, but something like 40% of Americans don’t know anything about him. Given that he has high approvals among the people that know him, it makes sense then to try and introduce him to a wider audience. A joint interview will serve that purpose very well. People that won’t tune in just for him (apparently Vance has done a bunch of interviews; did anyone care?) will more likely tune in because Harris is also there. It will also give the audience the opportunity to see how they work together. I would love to see a Trump-Vance joint interview.
They already had one back in July.
I should’ve specified that I’d love to see one now that the dynamics of the race has changed, and it’s obvious that Vance is a liability.
LOL. Vance is hardly a liability. That is laughable. Wait until the debate between Vance and Walz then tell us who the liability is........
His net favorability is under water by 10 points, and continuing to trend downwards. His weird fixation on childless women is going to turn a lot of people off. And he’s a charisma black hole. Man does not even know how to order donuts, and make small talk. Walz is affable and relatable. He will do just fine in the VP debate (not that it ever moves the needle). I think the contrast in persona will serve the Democrats well.
Does Kamala have a thing for older white guys who can’t seem to tell the truth? I mean Joe was confused and just made things up. Husband with his first marriage and the nanny. Since you mention Waltz above as affable and relatable. How many things have come out since his announcement that are made up, false, exaggerated and ego feeding? I am at 4 and counting. Easy to be relatable when you just make up what people want to hear!
