For those looking for medical school, this is from Tufts University's Medical School: Class of 2027 https://medicine.tufts.edu/academics/medicine/class-profile Undergrad Institutions Represented (schools contributing 4 or more students) Tufts University: 31 Northeastern University: 10 Boston College: 7 Johns Hopkins University: 7 Bates College: 6 Cornell University: 6 University of California-Los Angeles: 6 Washington University in St. Louis: 6 New York University: 5 Middlebury College: 4
I recently listened to a lecturer who is like a college consultant for med school admissions. He said take every school’s reporting on med school admissions with a grain of salt. There is no oversight to confirm it is accurate and in almost every case the numbers are way overblown.
Most likely he was referring to the undergraduate guidance department. Those are notorious for claiming, eg, "that 85% of our undergraduate who apply to med school are accepted to at least one". The reality is that guidance actively discourages/weeds out those who apply. In this case, these numbers are direct from Tufts Medical School who are reporting on who enrolled in the class of 2027. Much different scenario. What the OP is showing is that NEU at least for Tufts Medical School looks to be somewhat of a feeder for it.
