This is so funny because New Yorkers are the ones who think nowhere exists outside of New York. And that people born and raised in what they call “flyover” are lesser . I want to say to each and every one of them- hey, manhattan is not the only place in the world! Try to explore more places! [/quote]

They like a lot of places, globally. They just tend to sneer at most of the US outside of a few major cities, but they are generally passport holders who travel a lot ("unlike the rubes in flyover country...:)[/quote]
Which is funny, because NYC is miles behind the rest of the in terms of cleanliness, homelessness, migrant crisis… etc etc. Its every entry point (Bronx/Queens/Hudson County by train, LGA/JFK/EWR by air) features decaying slums and third-world infrastructure. Undoubtedly one of the worst major cities in America[/quote]
