So what? Pride’s A teams generally play vastly superior competition than MC Elite’s A teams. For example, look at the competition faced by Pride’s 2027 Red team at LFTC as opposed to MC Elite’s Midnight 2027 team at Champions Cup. Not even close. In addition, the same Pride team destroyed Stars Light Blue in the fall, while the same MC Elite team was just destroyed by Stars Light Blue in the Champions Cup. Stop pretending that MC Elite is in the same league as Pride. MC Elite’s A teams are generally as good as Pride’s B teams. As a club, Pride certainly has issues, but their teams are much stronger than MC Elite’s. [/quote]

The champions cup can’t even draw the top teams. All the top HS teams minus Capital were in Hershey at Summer Genesis. And the younger Agra’s weee all at lax for the cure. MCE can’t even win in the lower brackets of a tournament that was full of mediocre teams.[/quote]

With 2025, the #1 team didn't play anywhere, #2 was at Champions Cup, #3 Genesis, #4 Champions. Can't even draw the top teams might be a stretch even if a bunch of lower ranked teams went to hang out in Hershey but 2 off the top 4 were in Maryland. [/quote]

What MCE teams played in the top brackets?

Adding to this, there were unranked teams in Hershey too, at least in the HS age groups.  And, a lot of college scouts at Champions Cup looking at the top 2025 brackets (which is where 24 and 25 Capital chose to play).  I would guess there were great games in Hershey too (I wasn’t there so I can’t comment directly).

Maybe one-day champions cup will be there just not yet. Fact the vast majority of the top clubs go to Genesis. M&D, YJ, SW, Primetime, Monsters Heros, HHH,CT Grizzlies, NXT, MDU. # 1 didn't play 3,5,6,7,9,10 were at Genesis. as well as 17 of the top 25 and 30 of the top 50.[/quote]

I am not saying Genesis is bad but there were top teams at both tournaments, some grad years more than others.  My point is that brackets mattered and age group mattered, and you have to look at the details.  I would have rather had my kid’s team play in a high pool at champions than a lower bracket at genesis.  There were a lot of coaches at champions for HS top pool.  And, there are a lot of unranked teams in low brackets at both tournaments. You may feel differently.  There can be a lot of different perspectives as well as goals that kids are trying to get out of the tournament.
