NP. You may see abortion in very simplistic terms but I think you're neglecting to recognize that this issue is far more complicated for millions of people. You may see a fetus as a clump of cells under the total autonomy of a woman's body. Perhaps you see abortion as no more consequential as throwing out yesterday's stale bread. I see it very differently, but I'm not arrogant enough to think that I possess the absolute truth on this issue. My understanding of science and moral compass leads me to believe that abortion is murder but I'll also concede that I might be wrong, and this is why ultimately I think a woman should possess the legal right to choose. However, I think abortion is probably the most selfish and barbaric act a woman could ever make. To take a growing life with its own DNA and discard it for convenience is madness.
Parenting is the world’s most important job. It’s a lot more than inconvenience. And everyone should be doing it willingly.
So stick a rubber on it or take the pill. Use the rhythm method. Pull out. Abstain. Geez, there's a lot of ways to prevent a pregnancy, and if you're not ready to become a parent, then don't put yourself in the position to potentially become one. If you don't want to get drunk, don't drink. If you don't want a ticket, don't speed. If you don't want a baby, then don't have unprotected sex.
How to to tell us you are a moron without telling us you are a moron.
Thanks for the kind words. I know how pregnancies happen and how to avoid one if I want to, which apparently is a concept you find bizarre.
It’s so odd that there are multiple free forms of birth control available and women can’t figure out how to prevent pregnancy. Many forms of bc have rates of 98-99% effectiveness in preventing pregnancy. But women, who are so “sovereign” over their own bodies, would rather kill their own child than apply a few moments of responsibility to their lives, or ask their sex partner to do so.
You keep saying this. It is not true. Also, those birth control methods that are very effective will be outlawed when abortion is. That is already in the works.
I can’t get over how many people on this thread somehow missed getting critical information and data about birth control (that *should* be covered in comprehensive sex education instead of the abstinence-only crap peddled by the right. That quote above about 98-99% effective means that even WITH birth control, there are still a sh*# ton of unplanned pregnancies. And this doesn’t even get to the point that men will pull off condoms during sex or refuse tonwear them. Please, for the love of education and fairness to women, study this chart which shows how many unplanned pregnancies take place even with birth control measures. https://www.fda.gov/consumers/free-publications-women/birth-control-chart
