They shouldn't have to.  They are a sovereign nation, they should have the freedom to whatever alliances they like.

BUT...  If they were to agree to declare they have no intention to join NATO any time soon, they should put significant conditions on Russia in exchange for doing so.

Ukraine should demand that Russia declare the eastern rebellion come to an end, announce it returns under Ukraine control, they completely withdraw, stop supporting and funding it. My gosh. Y'all still don't get it. Ukraine will never get NATO membership unless it is willing to go to war with Russia. Ukraine's NATO membership is the red line for Russia. Putin clearly stated that.

Ukraine is already ready to go to war with Russia.  They have already been fighting a war with Russia in Donetsk and Luhansk since 2014.[/quote]

That was answering whether Ukraine is willing to go to war with Russia.  Ukraine obviously is.  Whether NATO is remains to be seen.  I can easily see this spilling over and affecting NATO member nations.[/quote]
