They shouldn't have to.  They are a sovereign nation, they should have the freedom to whatever alliances they like.

BUT...  If they were to agree to declare they have no intention to join NATO any time soon, they should put significant conditions on Russia in exchange for doing so.

Its pretty useless given the lay of land to Sign an agreement similar to the useless and defunct Budapest memorandum or Minsk agreements. Ukraine has set the course for nato in its constitution. Putting it off will just result in more land grab. It’s joining the nato that can actually stave off further agression. I am sorry but the bolded is just naive. [/quote]
