Interesting.  I was the opposite: not a classic beauty but I had charisma/personality/spunk that was very attractive to men.  I routinely dated (really dated--not just slept with) men way above me in looks.   I married one. 
Now I'm 47 and my looks have faded and I'm tired. Plus it's not great to be "cute" in personality when you're 47.  So I'm not left with much.   Lol.

Interesting. I have the Sally Field type looks,  older than 47 but haven't changed a whole lot. I don't consider anyone above anyone in looks or otherwise, because everyone has some sort of deficit. In terms of men same as you. Long term attraction and compatibility is #1 if a relationship is to last. [/quote]
