I was thinking more about their claims medical professionals suggested a new home. If there wasn't violence or significant abuse, the only other reason I could think of is if she claimed to have thoughts of wanting to harm him. They can't claim he has threatened to kill one of their kids if he is barely verbal. Otherw2ise I suspect the professionals said you need to do more therapies or stop quitting therapies.
I think parents of children who are significantly impacted by their disability know their claims that medical professionals advised them to get rid of him to be false. I agree that more services would have been recommended, especially since he was not receiving the recommended amount of services and therapies in the first place.
Are you the adoptive parent of a child with a significant disability? I am and I have absolutely been advised to walk away, to "think of your own kids". Other parents I know have been encouraged to let their kids die. I've posted here about an issue with my disabled child, and have been told that I did a terrible thing by adopting him.
We’re talking about the claim that medical professionals advised her to give the child away. If you have had professionals telling you in an official capacity that you should “walk away” from a child or let him die, you should really report them to their licensing boards.
