I realized I spent too much money on going out or ordering in, i feel AWFUL for the bartenders and restaurant workers but I'm curious if this will cause a shift in quality and pricing, at least in the DC area. I haven't ordered in or picked up takeout in over a month, I want to support the local restaurants, but I'm not paying $70 for subpar food between the food and the delivery. There's this constant guilt-tripping about taking care of our local businesses, but no one takes care of us when we're well or in a bad shape. Capitalism is ugly, and all of those using these dire times to make money are just crappy people. (outside of stocks, I'm talking buying all the Nintendos or all the chest freezers to resell at a profit). I haven't missed many people and they likely haven't missed me, this makes me think it's time to find a better community. People complaining are incredibly annoying. You have food, water, electricity, it's good weather so you're not dying of heat or cold, you have internet and can keep in touch with everyone at ANY time, and yet people are SO bored, they need connection. FT someone. You have ANY idea how lucky you are?
If you think capitalism is ugly, why don’t you move to Venezuela?
Why is it that people only suggest moving to Venezuela? Tell PP to move to Sweden or Denmark! That'll show'em!
Enjoy your taxes.
If either country actually wanted me and my aging parents were willing to pack up and follow us, I would move in a hot second. I'll gladly pay all the taxes. Their people are happier and their healthcare system and overall quality of life is better. I would much rather raise my kids in a society that is focused on the "we" instead of the "me". It's not so easy to move there though.
Guess they have too many “we’s” who don’t want “thee’s”.
