We assume they wanted 'BY for sure' (and that is likely) but I do not know anyone who actually has ever heard, one way or the other, [i]anything[/i] from MLSN on this. No clubs know anything (anything you have heard from a club is just that, 2nd hand at best), and the MLSN2 clubs (who this would really impact) are completely in the dark.

Let's not forget, they basically doubled in size with these new MLSN2 clubs and have now just left them completely out to dry. WTF. [/quote]

This is why it will be so so hard for MLSN to stay BY right now. Maybe these clubs stay a year because it is too late to change. But if MLSN stays BY, they will soon be gone. Yeah some of these may be smaller clubs who cant create their own feeder league. And yeah, these might not be the top clubs. But there will be a lot of them. And that would be a whole lot of $$ gone[/quote]

The only reason MLSN might want to run a SY league in whatever from it might happen. Is so ECNL and other leagues have an easy way to switch to MLSN/GA. MLS needs to make on boarding as easy as possible. Once clubs are under the umbrella they can create a BY team.[/quote]

What needs to happen is for MLS to create a seperate 2nd Tier league that is SY that basically mirrors ECNL. Thhis is what clubs want. They want the to be associated with MLS but they dont want all the hassle of fielding a highly competitive team.

They already have two tiers. Biobanding does not address this and that’s been discussed before. The league does not want to go SY, it is the clubs that want to go SY. Have you looked at a map of the location of mlsnext clubs? Are you aware of the travel involved? There won’t be enough clubs who want to stay BY to make your idea work, staying BY is a headache the majority of clubs don’t want to deal with.[/quote]
