We assume they wanted 'BY for sure' (and that is likely) but I do not know anyone who actually has ever heard, one way or the other, [i]anything[/i] from MLSN on this. No clubs know anything (anything you have heard from a club is just that, 2nd hand at best), and the MLSN2 clubs (who this would really impact) are completely in the dark.

Let's not forget, they basically doubled in size with these new MLSN2 clubs and have now just left them completely out to dry. WTF. [/quote]

This is why it will be so so hard for MLSN to stay BY right now. Maybe these clubs stay a year because it is too late to change. But if MLSN stays BY, they will soon be gone. Yeah some of these may be smaller clubs who cant create their own feeder league. And yeah, these might not be the top clubs. But there will be a lot of them. And that would be a whole lot of $$ gone[/quote]

The only reason MLSN might want to run a SY league in whatever from it might happen. Is so ECNL and other leagues have an easy way to switch to MLSN/GA. MLS needs to make on boarding as easy as possible. Once clubs are under the umbrella they can create a BY team.[/quote]

I mean, he is partially right. The P2P clubs know that staying BY will make conquests from other leagues not as direct as they are now. And they rely on that. Heck, my kids MLSN team and most of the ones I am familiar with are made up of kids who are from other clubs non-MLSN (only a very few were with the club at U11/12). So anything that disrupts that player flow is a problem for them.

But hey, at least he is now admitting that MLSN will likely have a considerable SY league or component. That's a long way! [/quote]
